Présence autochtone is a multidisciplinary festival that showcases the best in creativity that First Nations from the three Americas and elsewhere have to offer. The outdoor segment takes place at the Place des Festivals. More than just a festival, the event elegantly embraces the simplicity of the site by taking best advantage of its architecture and style imbued with native history and symbols in order to provide every festival-goer with an unforgettable experience. A wide range of mostly free activities will be available: musical, song and dance performances, film projections, workshops, arts and crafts, and exhibitions. Présence autochtone is a not-to-be-missed event for sharing and discovering, bringing back to life the traditions of intercultural exchange and trade that led to the founding of Montréal.
