Economic Spin-Offs for the Benefit of Québec Society

The Société des loteries vidéo du Québec employs close to 75 individuals and calls upon numerous companies in the private sector to enable it to carry out the majority of its day-to-day activities, as well as for the provision of various services. The video lottery network encompasses 2,733 sites made up of bars, brasseries and taverns across the province, which in turn employ more than 10,000 people.

The SLVQ remits all of its net profits to the Québec Government for the financing of a diverse range of public programs and services (health, transportation, education, etc.).

• Provided for some 75 direct jobs
• Over 329 full-time jobs in support operations (outsourcing or other)
• $668.3 million remitted to the Québec Government
• $229.3 million paid out in commissions to site operators
• $48.4 million disbursed in taxes and special contributions to Governments
• $92.9 million expended on the purchase of goods and services
