Lotto Max  -  Live your dreams to the max

Jackpot and Maxmillions

  • Minimum Jackpot: $10,000,000
  • Jackpot growth: at least $5,000,000 per draw if not won
  • Maximum Jackpot: $50,000,000

The jackpot starts at $10,000,000 and, if not won, grows by $5,000,000 per draw up to $50,000,000. Once the 7/7 prize pool exceeds $50,000,000, the jackpot is capped at $50,000,000 and the excess is divided into additional prizes of $1 million, the Maxmillions. For each of those Maxmillions, an additional selection of 7 numbers from 1 to 49 will be drawn.

Example: If the calculated amount of the 7/7 pool reaches $56,214,000, on top of the $50,000,000 jackpot, 6 additional selections (Maxmillions) will be drawn, each allowing to win a prize of $1,000,000. Maxmillions selections are not decomposable and the prizes are shared amongst the winners. The remaining amount of $214,000 would be added to the 6/7+ bonus pool.

For a winning selection of Maxmillions prize, a selection on the customer’s ticket must include all seven numbers of the same single Maxmillions winning selection draw.

If the $50 M jackpot is not won, any Maxmillions amounts that were not won are added to those available for the next draw.
If the $50 M jackpot is won, amounts of Maxmillions that were not won are added to the jackpot pool for the subsequent draw. The jackpot for that draw will then become $10 M + any Maxmillions amounts that were not won in the previous draw.

Example:
A $50 million jackpot and 10 Maxmillions are drawn.
Both the $50 million jackpot and 6 Maxmillions are won.
The 4 remaining Maxmillions are added to the jackpot for the next draw.
The following jackpot will thus be $14 million.
