Our Environmental Contribution

Loto-Québec’s commitment to social responsibility includes adopting numerous environmental initiatives over the years. The Corporation’s environmental initiatives include:

Use of 100% recyclable paper for virtually all publications.
Maximizing the use of paper containing recycled fibres to print Loto-Québec's office publications.
Enhancing the ecological management of the casino sites through the revitalization of their respective premises and by creating additional green spaces.
Implementing programs for the recovery of recyclable materials.
Building and managing new buildings according to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standard.

A number of awards and certifications have earned Loto-Québec recognition for having adopted and implemented these many initiatives. They include:

2009-2010:

2009-2010 BOMA Québec Building of the Year Award in the Under 100,000 Square Feet category for the Centre régional de Montréal et du Nord-Ouest du Québec in Laval
2009-2010 BOMA Québec Building of the Year Award in the "Corporate Building" category for the Corporation's head office located at 500 Sherbrooke Street West in Montréal
2009-2010 BOMA Québec Earth Award for the Complexe multifonctionnel Loto-Québec in Montréal

2008-2009:

Pilier d'Or Award in the Environment category presented in 2008 by the Association des gestionnaires de parcs immobiliers institutionnels in recognition of the Corporation's excellent real estate environmental buildings management

2007-2008:

2007-2008 BOMA Québec Building of the Year Award in the 100 000 to 249 999 Square Feet category for the Complexe multifonctionnel Loto-Québec in Montréal
2007-2008 BOMA Québec Environment Award for the Édifice Loto-Québec, in Québec City
