On August 4, 2008, Loto-Québec published its Retailers' Code of Conduct to raise awareness at points of sale regarding the required commitment to integrity, respect and social responsibility.
The Code of Conduct provides a clear statement of all essential conditions for retailers to properly manage lottery sales. It also details the progressive administrative sanctions that can be applied in the event of failure to comply to those conditions.
In August 2009, the Retailer's Code of Conduct was updated to include the latest changes to selected directives, in particular with respect to sales to minors and the mandatory signing of tickets.
The document is available in English and French.
