Process

Each artist’s portfolio received is analyzed by the Collection’s curator.

All works comprising the Collection are painstakingly selected by a jury of three Loto‑Québec employees, one member of Québec’s arts community and an artist whose work is already part of the Collection. The curator of the Collection Loto‑Québec, with the help of his team, prepares and hosts the acquisition sessions.

The initial selection of works is conducted in several ways:

• From among the portfolios submitted directly to Loto-Québec by recognized professional artists, agents and galleries;
• At certain Loto-Québec-sponsored events and within the context of its Repérage sales exhibit program.
