International outreach

We maintain relations in the gaming industry on an international scale and belong to two large associations recognized in the field:

  • the World Lottery Association, whose members include 140 lottery corporations from 76 countries. One of our senior staff members sits on the WLA Board of Directors.

In April 2009, we were awarded Level IV certification by the WLA's Responsible Gaming Framework, the highest international certification of its kind. In July 2011, we were granted the Security Control Standard (WLA SCS 2006), recognizing the secure and trustworthy manner in which we operate our games of skill and chance.

Over the years, we have developed specialized know-how in casino security and management, which has attracted the interest of our numerous overseas partners. Given our internationally-recognized expertise, we sit on the board of directors of the International Association for Casino Security.

World firsts

Did you know? We were the world's first lottery corporation to:

  • operate a terminal-based lottery sales network
  • market an interactive TV lottery
  • launch a CD-ROM-based lottery
  • introduce interactive, compulsive gambling prevention terminals in its casinos
