Our sustainable development policy and action plan

In 2006, we adopted a sustainable development policy (in French only) [PDF format, 82 KB – Help, updated on June 12, 2007] to better guide our implementation of this principle.

The policy applies to each of our areas of activity and calls on all employees and managers to contribute. We are also progressively bringing our external business partners into the endeavour, inviting them to help us reach our sustainable development goals.

Our policy centres on the economic, social and environmental aspects of sustainable development. The goal is to continue developing in a way that meets present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own. 

Our Plan d’action de développement durable 2013-2015 de Loto‑Québec (in French only) [PDF format, 1.3 MB – Help, online as of April 4, 2013] is comprised of 12 actions in support of 3 priorities:

• Optimisation of our responsible gaming actions
• Environmental performance
• Stakeholder engagement

This sustainable development action plan is an updated version of the 2008-2013 plan (in French only) [PDF format, 747 KB – Help, last updated on April 2, 2009] to be implemented until the new government strategy on sustainable development is unveiled in 2015.

The 2013-2015 Plan continues in the same vein as the previous plan. The changes made strive to consolidate and deepen the understanding of sustainable development within our organization.

The Sustainable Development Status Report (in French only) [PDF format, 689 KB – Help] in each of our annual reports plots the progress of our sustainable development approach. It includes targets, indicators and results for each action in our sustainable development action plan.
