CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY
Loto-Québec’s addresses the social impact of games of chance through its commitment to offering its customers entertaining games in safe and attractive gaming venues in a responsible manner, thus limiting the risk of loss of control amongst players.
It is our responsibility to inform players and the population at large of the inherent risks of the games offered so that they may make educated choices so that they can enjoy themselves while avoiding situations that could result in the loss of control. Indeed, we have implemented a wide array of preventive measures over the years in all our areas of activity to encourage the adoption of healthy gaming behaviours.
We were awarded the highest possible international responsible gaming certification, Level IV of the World Lottery Association’s (WLA) Responsible Gaming Framework. The WLA is an association of some 140 lottery corporations worldwide.
Vice President’s Office on Responsible Gaming
In 2012, Loto-Québec created the Vice President’s Office on Responsible Gaming to apply best practices on responsible gaming in all of the Corporation’s areas of activity. The creation of this Vice President’s Office strengthens Loto-Québec’s resolve to minimze the prevalence and consequences of problem gambling.
