The existing version of Loto-Québec and its subsidiaries' Web sites largely meet the requirements of the Québec government's standard on Web site accessibility (SGQRI 008-01) (in French only).
During the technological migration from the current site in 2012, we will be implementing elements needed to gradually bring all the organization's sites up to standard.
A text equivalent is provided for all important images.
Information appearing in colour is also accessible in black and white, highlighted via other text characteristics or images (borders, underline, bold, font, etc.).
Contrast between background and foreground colours is sufficient for people with colour perception problems and for display on black‑and‑white screens.
The sites do not contain any screen flicker likely to trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy. All Flash animation has a Stop and Pause button, allowing users to stop them at any time.
Language changes in a text are indicated by the necessary HTML flagging.
The main language on each page is specified with the required attributes.
The layout mainly consists of external-style pages, which ensures a uniform look throughout the site.
The pages are structured using logical HTML flagging.
None of the scripts on this site serve a vital navigational or information-consultation function.
The site plan is accessible from each page.
The navigation menus reflect the layout of the information.
When possible, adjacent links are separated by printable characters to avoid confusion when using assistive technologies.
The site's hyperlinks open tabs in the same window, with the exception of links leading to external sites. Users can use the pop-up menu (right click on the mouse) to open a link in a new window.

Here are a few accessibility measures that will eventually be implemented on the current site.
A combination of hot keys will be implemented to facilitate access to the most important pages.
The layout allows users to modify the size of the characters with the tool integrated in each page or with their browser's tools.
Each apparent element in the online forms will come with a description.
For various reasons, some of the content on this site does not comply with the government's three accessibility standards. This content includes, as applicable:
Without violating the government standards, some documents and content on this site will not be accessible to handicapped persons, namely:
